Why must an agent file the application?
The programme requires submission through an authorised service provider licensed by the CIU. This is a licensing requirement, not a commercial convention. Every St Kitts entry here links the CIU list on which the licence appears.
Is a licensed agent the same as a lawyer?
No, and the distinction matters. A licensed agent may file, but is not necessarily qualified to advise on the legal consequences of the application — tax residence, existing nationality, disclosure obligations. Agents are labelled as such on every surface of this site.
